Hi, I’m Marielle Suárez, co-founder of Between the Wines Book Club — and yes, the name says it all.

What started in 2019 as a small circle of college friends who couldn’t stop recommending books to each other has grown into a community of 12 women (and counting), united by one simple obsession: getting lost in a great story. Every member found their way here through a friend, and that’s exactly the spirit we bring to this blog.

We read one book a month — though let’s be honest, a bonus pick sneaks in more often than not. Our heart belongs to thrillers, but we love keeping our shelves diverse, so you’ll find us wandering through literary fiction, romance, historical narratives, and everything in between.

In six years together, we’ve read over 60 books, cried over a few, argued (lovingly) about many, and laughed through all of them.

But here’s what makes us a little different.

Every book we cover comes with more than just a review. We dig into the real places behind the story, pair each read with a drink to match the mood, and put together book club discussion guides so you can bring the conversation to your own group. We want you to live the book, not just read it.
