A Story Within a Story — Our Anniversary Journey
Some love stories are written in words. Others are written in miles, in dog-eared pages, in handwritten notes left in the margins for someone you haven’t met yet.
This one is both.
On our first anniversary, we decided to celebrate the way we do everything — a little unconventionally, a little magically, and with a very good book.
We wanted to mark the moment with something that would grow beyond us. Something that would move through the world, carrying our story inside it, picking up new voices and new handwriting along the way. A living, breathing record of people, places, and the quiet, powerful act of reading.
So we created something we’re calling The Traveling Book.
📬 How It Works
One book. One journey. Many readers.
Every member of our little book family receives this book at their home — no shipping label needed, no online order. It arrives like a secret, hand-delivered by the invisible chain of people who came before them. They read it at their own pace, in their own corner of the world — maybe in a cozy armchair in Santo Domingo, maybe at a kitchen table in New York, maybe wrapped in a blanket somewhere in Canada while snow falls outside.
And before they pass it on, they leave something behind.
A note. A thought. A drawing. A pressed flower. A coffee stain and an apology for the coffee stain. Whatever feels right. Whatever they want the next reader to find tucked between the pages like a small gift from a stranger who is also somehow a friend.
🤫 The Rules — Yes, There Are Rules
We keep things simple around here. There are exactly two of them:
Rule 1 — The Secret Must Hold. Nobody outside our circle knows which book it is. The title stays a mystery until you hold it in your hands and turn to page one. Half the magic is in not knowing what you’re about to fall into.
Rule 2 — Keep It Moving. Read it, love it, leave your mark on it — and then send it on its way. The book belongs to all of us, which means it belongs to none of us for too long.
Rule 3 — Highlight your favorite parts and put your initials.
